Leasehold Central is a data management and exchange website, which provides support to the legal profession and managing agents in connection with residential leasehold sales and purchases. We facilitate the supply of management packs to sellers’ conveyancers. We also provide a platform by which buyer’s conveyancers can notify purchases to landlords, management companies and managing agents.
The information in management packs (the management information) is supplied by the information supplier identified as such by each individual management pack. In most cases that will be the managing agent for the building or estate. We have no means of verifying whether the management information you supply is accurate or complete. You therefore indemnify us against all liability and expense which we incur if the management information you supply is inaccurate or incomplete. [[We can claim under this indemnity by way of a notice of demand. If the amount of the demand is certified by a chartered accountant, then the amount is binding on you unless there is an obvious mistake. ]].
Information about transfers including the identity and contact details of purchasers (transfer information) is supplied by the purchaser’s conveyancer identified on the notice of transfer. We have no means of verifying whether transfer information is accurate and in cases where transfer information is inaccurate we accept no liability to you.
We are registered with the ICO. Management information and transfer information will contain personal data which we supply for the lawful purpose of facilitating residential leasehold sales and purchases. Other than providing a platform for data exchange, we do not process personal data.
We destroy personal data no later than 12 months after we receive a transfer notice or if we do not receive a transfer notice, no later than 12 months from the date you send management information to us.
The terms of our privacy statement apply.
Our liability to you is limited to direct foreseeable loss and reasonable and proper expense you incur as a result of our breach of contract. We are not liable to you for consequential losses including loss of profit.
